Hunting experiences

The truffles are culinary delicacies growing under the ground, so specially trained dogs help the hunter to find and dredge them. Truffle hunting is a real adventure that gifts even the experienced hunter with the pleasure of taking the prize again and again. 

Join our hunters and their dogs to experience the excitement of hunting these underground delicacies in the forests! Watch the dogs how they are snuffling around for truffles and finding the treasures.

As the forests are not playgrounds, we are organising our hunting tours for groups with 1-8 participants. Difficulty level of our tours range from light walk to hiking, sometimes hiking boots are required.

We suggest you to arrange the dates of the tours for weekdays to avoid "crowd" in the forests on weekends.

The languages of our tours are Hungarian and English.

Our tours in Budapest:

Basic tour (3 hours)

At the hunting spot participants can get acquanted with the truffle hunters and their dogs, our guides make them familiar with the habitat of truffles. They give information on the authority regulations and potentials of truffle hunting. The actual hunting takes about 70-90 minutes. Our guest have the opportunity to buy the truffles found while hunting on a reduced price.

We are arranging transfers between the place of accomodation in Budapest and the hunting area in Budapest and back on demand for 50 EUR for the groups. The amount is the same for 1 or 8 people.

Our guest have the opportunity to buy the truffles found while hunting on a reduced price. After the hunting a truffle „picnic” is held at the spot with Hungarian wine and soda.

We are arranging transfers between the place of accomodation in Budapest and the hunting area in Budapest and back on demand for 50 EUR for the groups. The amount is the same for 1 or 8 people.

They give information on the regulations and potentials of truffle hunting. Time spent at the Budakeszi Zoo is about 90 minutes, while our guests get a close sight of the fauna of the habitat. The actual hunting takes about 60 minutes. Our guest have the opportunity to buy the truffles found while hunting on a reduced price. After the trip our guests have a light lunch or fine dining lunch at our contracted partner. The price of the package includes the transfers between the place of accomodation and the hunting area.
